| Later Warnings: ** NC17 ** Please read responsibly! Author's Notes: Well, my first smut standalone, IIRC. This is all Mel's fault! Back when we first saw 20 Hours and College Kids (thanks to Jeanine who ran a second tape on RTE for us - thanx hon!) Mel and I both agreed that Josh and Donna had slept together when they got back to DC. It was just written all over their greeting in CK! So I ended up writing it. Yes. Oh dear. Sorry! Disclaimer: Yeah, they're not mine. Although, actually, Josh is. Honestly! Aaron said so himself. But don't ask him, coz I don't think he remembers saying it. Feedback: Yes please! I'm a little nervous with this being my first total pwp an' all. If you could take the time to let me know that it doesn't totally suck, I'd appreciate it. (Of course, if you think it does totally suck, you can let me know that too, but I can't offer any guarantees about what I'm going to do with your message after that.) They walked into the lobby, bone-weary from their twenty-hour journey half way across the country, but still willing to check in at the office before going home and getting some rest. Half hour later, Toby ordered Josh out of his office and left the west wing, on his way to the three hours sleep he could catch before returning to the office to start another day. Josh headed back to his office to find Donna and get them both the hell out of there. The Operations bullpen was dark and deserted, and for a moment Josh thought that his assistant might have already left, but when he turned into his office he found her looking out of his window across the city. He stood in the doorway, silently watching her. The only light came from outside and it framed Donna's form - a dark silhouette with a glowing outline. She stood with her arms crossed and her weight shifted slightly onto one foot. To most people, she would have looked how Josh imagined she looked whenever she stood at that window waiting for him, but he could see from the barest slump in her shoulders that she was exhausted. He wondered what she was thinking about. "Hey." Josh smiled and shook his head slightly before making his way over to the source of the voice, pushing the door closed behind him unconsciously. "How did you know I was there?" he asked as he walked to her side and placed his hand lightly on the small of her back. She turned her face towards him and then nodded her head slightly at the window before returning her gaze to the outdoors. He took a moment, but finally realised that she could see his reflection in the window. "Aaaah." It was exactly what she wanted him to think. The moment she felt his hand on her back, she shivered. She wasn't cold. She'd been standing at the window, remembering what had happened in that hotel room back in... God knows where. Toby had already dried off and headed for the bar, not being able to stand having to yell over the hairdryer to continue arguing with Josh. Donna shut off the hairdryer a few minutes later. She knew Josh had walked back into the room from the bathroom - she could feel him watching her. She tried not to read too much into that. She had been sitting in front of a small dresser, her head hanging upside down as she dried her hair. When she flicked her hair back over, she saw Josh watching her in the reflection of the mirror on the dresser. Their eyes met for just a second before he threw the towel in his hand over his head and continued rubbing at his wet hair, but it was long enough for her to see that something was bothering him. She stood up and turned to face him as she ran her brush through her hair. "Josh? Are you okay?" He stopped running the towel over his head. "Yeah." He pulled the towel clear and dropped it on the floor. Donna couldn't help but smile at the way his hair stuck up in every direction possible. Josh's weariness at her sudden grin caused her to break out laughing. "Donna!" "Your....hair!" He looked in the mirror. "Ha, ha. Give me your brush." He held his hand out for her brush but she just continued to comb her own hair, still laughing at the state of his. When his hand remained empty, Josh looked back to Donna and whined, "Donna!" "Josh! I am not handing over my hairbrush. You should have brought your own." "Who in their right mind carries a hairbrush with them on a five hour trip?" This time, Donna glared at her boss. "What? I said 'who in their *right* mind', Donna." She continued to glare as he smirked. "Come on, Donna, you know you want to give it to me." She couldn't let that one go. "Excuse me?!" she exclaimed, a mask of shock covering her face. It would almost have fooled Josh, if she could have controlled the smile that kept breaking out from behind the mask. Still, Josh, for reasons unknown to him, got a little embarrassed and decided it was only right to blame Donna. "Donna!" "Well, you said it!" Josh straightened up and moved towards Donna, making her step back. She held the brush out behind her but kept her eyes on her advancing boss. His grin was playful but Donna could see a glint of something else, something she couldn't identify, in his eyes. Donna's hand hit the wall behind her, her back following, trapping her hand still holding the brush between the wall and the small of her back. Josh kept walking towards her until he was only an inch away. She continued to watch him, waiting for his move to take the brush. What she saw instead was the cocky grin slide from his face and a soft, small smile replace it. She felt her face mirror the expression and wondered briefly whether that unidentified glint was also present in her eyes. It was a brief wondering because Josh did make his move for the brush, albeit a half-hearted one. His left hand went to pull Donna's right hand from behind her back, she swerved slightly in defence and he caught her face in his right hand, his thumb stroking her cheekbone. He was kissing her before either of them knew it. Her hand dropped the brush and Josh ran his hand down her arm so he could entwine his fingers with hers. Pressing Donna flat against the wall with the length of his body, he raised their joined hands to the side of Donna's head and moved his other to cup the side of her head, his fingers delving into her soft hair as he pulled her closer to deepen the kiss. The kiss was slow and deep and passionate. They took turns at exploring the other's mouth, changing the angle slightly every now and then and snatching breaths whenever they could without stopping the kissing. Donna's hand left Josh's so she could wrap her arm around his back to join her other one, pulling Josh even tighter against her. He left his hand against the wall by her head, ensuring that she had no escape. Finally, when neither of them could survive any longer on the tiny snatches of air, they broke apart and rested their foreheads together, eyes closed, panting heavily in attempts to replace the missing oxygen in their bodies. Neither of them spoke until their breathing was almost back to normal, but Josh never stopped stroking her ear with his thumb, letting her know that he was still there with her. "Ahkay. Feel free to hit me now." She couldn't help it. Despite the seriousness of what just happened, she laughed. He joined in for a while but he faded when he just had to say something. "You're so beautiful." As soon as he said it, he was hit with the realisation that she had always been beautiful, that she had always been there. And that the reason for that was because she was his assistant. He freaked. He took a step back suddenly, leaving Donna feeling bereft. "I'm gonna go downstairs and catch up with Toby in the bar. I'll see you down there?" Before she could say anything, he was out the door. She hadn't needed his reflection in the window to tell her he was there; she had felt him, had sensed his gaze on her back. His thumb was stroking slowly up and down her spine, only covering a couple of inches at the small of her back, but still causing her pulse to speed up. She sighed involuntarily. "Tired?" She was, yes. She was tired because she'd spent twenty hours travelling across the country without any sleep. She was tired even before that; the campaign timetable had been relentless. But mostly she was tired of trying to work out what had happened in that hotel room. They had been bringing the banter, just as they always did, then he had brought the kissing, which was undeniably new, and then he had brought the fleeing-as-quick-as-he-could. She really liked the kissing, unsurprisingly. The fleeing? Not so much. "Why'd you run out like that?" It was his turn to sigh. "I had to speak to Toby." There was no way she was going to believe that. He knew she'd see right through it, just like she'd seen through all of his lies, even if she hadn't pushed him on all of them. She wasn't going to push him on this either. He had avoided it and she couldn't be bothered to pull the truth out of him at 6am in his office when all she really wanted to do was go home and collapse in a bubble bath. She started to turn away from him, intending to leave, but his arm quickly slid from her back to her side, resting in the curve of her waist. He moved so he was standing behind her and then took a deep breath in preparation for his next words. However, the new proximity meant he breathed in the scent of her hair, and it sidetracked him. "Donna." It was a husky whisper and it froze her in place. He'd told himself what had happened in that hotel room was down to tiredness, stress, and... insanity or something. Arguing with Toby had been the only way he could stop thinking about Donna afterwards, and then Donna had stopped him arguing with Toby. Brilliantly, he might add. His thoughts had slowly switched from wondering why he had kissed Donna in the first place, to why he had just run out and left her. Now he knew the answers to both: because he'd always wanted to, even if he had never admitted it to himself; and because he'd remembered all the reasons he'd never kissed her before. "Toby offended you, didn't he? You were insulted by his comments and... you..." Donna trailed off. "Took the frustration out on you?" She stiffened but nodded. "Yes." Her face fell and she ducked her head, fighting the tears she swore to herself she wouldn't shed. Josh moved his hand again, this time wrapping his arm around her waist and pulling her back against him. "Yes, what Toby said got to me, but that had nothing to do with what happened between us. Nothing, Donna. What I did..." "You kissed me, Josh," she interrupted. "You kissed me back." "Because you kissed me." "You sure it wasn't because you wanted to kiss me as much as I've always wanted to kiss you?" Donna whipped her head around to look over her left shoulder at Josh. "A...always?" "Always, Donna. It took me a while to work it out, but it's always been... always." A confused expression passed over his face for a second. Donna huffed a short laugh and that made Josh smile. He leaned his head forward over her shoulder in an attempt to see her face. "Are you laughing at me?" "Nooooo..." She turned her face towards him as she issued her denial but trailed off as she realised how close he was. Their eyes locked, and that was it. This kiss was just as slow and deep as the last, despite the awkward position. Donna tried to turn around but Josh's arm held her in place. She settled for burying her left hand in the hair at the back of his head, her right hand finding his around her waist and entwining their fingers. As soon as they broke apart this time, he stuck around and captured her ear lobe between his teeth before kissing his way down her neck. Donna leant her head to the other side to give him more access then rested it back on his shoulder, her eyes closed in pleasure as he nipped at the place where her neck met her shoulder. Somewhere in the back of their minds, they both knew this was quickly getting out of control, but they were powerless to stop it. Josh pushed Donna's hair to one side so he could access more of her neck and he pulled her tighter into him. She felt his erection against her butt and it sent a spike of arousal through her. "Josh." It came out as a whispered moan and only served to increase his arousal. His mouth moved further back on her neck and she shuddered. He kissed her there again and then touched his tongue to the spot, causing more shudders to pass through her. His left hand was running up and down her side between her hip and ribs, wanting to move further up but not entirely sure if he should. Then Donna made the decision for him by moving their entwined hands down to rest his palm over her crotch. "God, Donna." He hoped he'd closed the door earlier because despite the time, there were bound to be people around soon and he didn't want an audience for what was about to happen. Then he wondered if anybody could see them through the window - they were standing right in front of it. However, the room was dark and the sun was rising so he figured they'd be fine. He couldn't completely forget it, though. He was about to have sex with his assistant in his office. In the White House. It was unbelievably dangerous. And undeniably exciting. Donna was thinking the same thing as she pushed his hand against her, rocking slightly into it. The movement also caused her to rock back against him, eliciting another low moan from him. His left hand reached up and cupped a breast lightly, brushing his fingers over her already erect nipple. He gave the other one the same treatment before pushing his hand up under her top and wrapping it around her waist to support her as her legs faltered a little. Feeling his hand on her skin only encouraged her. She moved the hand from his head and the other from its resting place on his hand and undid the button on her pants. She unzipped them halfway then pulled his hand off the front of her pants and pushed it inside, again resting hers on top. His fingers immediately slid under her panties and found her clit. He moved further down and traced her already-wet opening before returning to her clit and circling it lightly, causing her whole body to shudder in his arms. He was still kissing her neck, loving the gasps and moans she made with each move of his fingers and touch of his mouth on that spot at the nape of her neck. She moaned his name again and he moved his fingers faster against her as he reached around to plunge his tongue into her mouth. Her movements became more urgent and she finally broke away from his mouth so she could gasp. He moved his lips to her ear and whispered intimately. "I've got you, Donna. Let it go. I want you to come in my arms. Please. Come for me." "I am, Josh. Josh!" Somehow, hearing her breathless whispers of his name seemed more erotic than if she had yelled it at the top of her voice. She pushed his hand hard against her, holding it still as she rocked unsteadily into it. Her other hand had found its way back to his head and was now pushed slightly under the collar of his shirt at the back of his neck. Her nails scratched along his skin as she continued to shudder with her climax. His arm tightened around her waist to hold her against him as she came down from her high, her arm flopping down from his neck to cover his. After taking a minute to get their breathing under control, she rolled her hips back against him, teasing him and smiling when he gasped in her ear. She lifted his hand away from her pulsing centre and took one of his fingers into her mouth to taste herself, turning in his arms to watch his reaction. He groaned loudly, still breathing heavily. She removed his finger to speak. "Shhh, Josh." "You're killing me, Donna." She smiled and guided him around so his back was against the wall by the window. He had a split second to notice that the door was indeed shut before she kissed him. There was nothing after that. All he knew was how her lips felt against his and how her tongue tangled with his. He didn't realise Donna had managed to undo his pants until he felt her hand wrap around him. He threw his head back against the wall, his eyes remaining shut. "Donnatella," he breathed. She ran her hand up and down the length of him slowly, occasionally brushing across the head, as she kissed his neck. As he started rocking into her hand, she let go of him and pushed his pants and boxers off of his hips, letting them fall to the floor around his ankles. She pulled back from his neck and ran her fingers through his hair to get him to look at her. As soon as their eyes locked, she dropped to her knees and took him into her mouth, never breaking the eye contact. His hands immediately went to her head, his fingers running through her hair as he rocked gently into her hot, wet mouth. She brought her hand up to massage his sac and he felt his whole body tightening. He tried to pull her head away gently, not wanting to overwhelm her, but she just took his hands in hers as she ran her tongue along the small slit and then took him all the way in. The feel of her throat contracting around him along with the pure heat in her eyes sent him over the edge, and he slammed his head back against the wall, eyes squeezed shut as he shook with his release. She swallowed all he had to give. When she finally released him, he slid down the wall to the floor and pulled Donna tightly against him. They hugged until his breathing had slowed. "Josh?" "Uh huh?" "We should probably get up. Go home, maybe." "Uh huh." He pulled her to him and kissed her slowly, tasting himself in her mouth. After a few minutes of making out with his assistant and friend and hopefully something more, now, whilst half-naked on his office floor, Josh pulled back and grinned. "Donna?" "Uh huh?" If possible, his grin grew when he saw how dazed she was. "Your place or mine?" That snapped her out of it. She stared at Josh for a moment. "We should talk." "Where?" She smiled. "My place." "Let's go." He lifted his hips off the floor and pulled his boxers and pants up as Donna did up her own pants. They both got up and Donna yawned. Josh wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her into his side. "You too tired to drive?" She shook her head against his shoulder. "No. I'm okay. You'll follow me?" "Yeah." They walked to the door arm in arm. Josh pulled Donna around to face him and wrapped his arms around her waist. She did the same to him and they rested their foreheads together, eyes sliding shut, feeling the connection they'd always had grow stronger than ever. After what was never going to be long enough, Josh pulled back a little and raised his hand to stroke her cheek. "I'll be right behind you," he said quietly. "Okay." They brushed lips and then she opened the door and walked out before they could get carried away again, knowing it wouldn't take that much. Josh waited a couple of minutes, taking deep breaths, before walking out and heading to his car. She'd been walking around her apartment, shifting things around under the guise of tidying up when in actuality she was pacing, worrying about whether he would actually turn up or whether what just happened in his office was a huge mistake. She was shocked out of her pacing by the door buzzer. "Hello?" "Hi." The warmth in that one single word went straight through her. She let him in then opened her door to wait for him. He must have sprinted up the stairs because he was walking into her apartment, staring intently at her, kicking the door shut behind him and breathing heavily before she had a chance to recover from the "hi". He wrapped his arms around her, hugging her tightly. "You didn't have to sprint." "I couldn't wait to see you." He expected her to laugh. He would have. It had been all of twenty minutes since she walked out of his office. "Josh." "I know, I know. It's only been twenty minutes. But I was worried you might have..." "...changed my mind?" He pulled back to look at her face. "Have you?" She replied by kissing him, walking them backwards through her apartment until they reached her bedroom. She pushed his suit jacket off his shoulders and fell backwards onto the bed, pulling Josh on top of her. Their hands roamed each other's body, returning to the places that affected their partner the most. After a few minutes, Donna pushed up on Josh's chest. "Wait. We were supposed to talk." He smiled down at her, amused. "Donna, you're the one who dragged us in here." "I was? I mean, I am?" His grin turned into a smirk. Apparently, she didn't remember. "Uh huh," he said with an exaggerated nod. He lowered his head to kiss her neck, reaching as far back as he could until he felt her shudder again. "Okay. Talk later." She quickly undid the buttons on his shirt and he knelt up to pull it off, following it with his undershirt. She sat up then, to kiss his chest and run her tongue up and down his scar. Her hands went to the front of his pants after he pulled the sweatshirt she was wearing over her head and off. She had a blouse on underneath and he started working on the first button when her hand brushed against his swollen cock. He took a deep breath to gain some control. "Okay Donna, how much do you like this shirt?" Her hands came to rest inside the waistband of his pants and boxers, ready to push them down. "It's a standard shirt, Josh." "Good." He pulled the shirt apart, causing buttons to fly everywhere. She gave him a fake pout and he apologised insincerely. "Sorry." "You're really not," she said, in an unsteady voice. Josh had just ripped her shirt apart. She was a little dizzy with desire. "No, I'm really not," he replied as he pushed the remains of her shirt off her arms and bent down to take a bra-covered nipple into his mouth. She leant back, her arms going behind her to support her weight. Josh ran his hands up her side, brushing the outsides of her breasts, and reached for the bra straps, pulling each of them over Donna's shoulders. The cups now loose, he pushed aside the covering and teased her nipples directly. She cried out as he gently bit down on one, pinching the other with his fingers. He moved up to take her mouth again as he moved his hands to the clasp of the bra. He unsnapped it and then lowered her body to the bed, pulling the bra off as he withdrew to look at her. She was breathtaking, and he told her so, enjoying the blush that spread all over her skin. He leant over her and lightly kissed her forehead, her eyelids, her jaw, and finally her mouth. He didn't linger there too long, instead choosing to kiss his way down her body until he reached her pants. "How come you're not naked yet?" He was whining and Donna realised that not much was really that different despite their current position. "Because you haven't taken all of my clothes off yet," she replied in her "duh!" tone. He undid her pants and then straightened her legs in front of him. He pulled off her shoes before pulling her pants, panties and socks off in one go. "That's better." She could do nothing but moan her agreement as he slid his hands up the inside of her legs, parting them so that he was knelt between them. He kissed his way up from one knee and couldn't resist anymore. He wanted to taste her as she had done him. He gently parted her folds with his thumbs and leant forward to press the tip of his tongue against her clit, that single touch causing Donna's hips to jerk towards him. Her reaction only encouraged him and he moved lower to trace the edges of the entrance to her body before pushing his tongue into her as deeply as he could. Donna arched her back, one hand reaching up to grasp the headboard, her other moving to rest on Josh's head, trying to pull him closer. He teased her relentlessly; thrusting his tongue inside her before moving up to slowly swipe over her clit and then repeating the process. Donna's movements quickened until she couldn't take it any more. She used her hand on the back of his head to hold him steady exactly where she needed him. He got the hint and stopped teasing her, instead entering her gently with two fingers whilst his tongue, teeth and lips worked her clit. A couple of minutes later, she came, her body shuddering and her back arching off the bed with the force of her release. Josh continued to stroke his fingers inside her gently as he moved up her body so he could watch her come down. When she'd recovered, she used her hands to push his pants and boxers down as far as she could reach, pushing them all the way off with her feet after he toed off his shoes and socks. She wrapped her legs around his waist and reached a hand between them to hold his shaft, smiling when his breath hitched. "Do we need...?" He left the question open, hoping she'd catch his meaning. "No, we're good. And I want to feel you. Just you." She guided him to her entrance and he couldn't help it. He pushed into her slowly. When Josh was buried as deep as he could possibly be, he stopped and gave them both time to adjust. Their bodies were pressed together from chest to hip, the slightest movement causing Donna's oversensitive breasts to brush against Josh's chest. When Josh finally began to move, that friction alone was enough to drive her crazy. Josh's thrusts were short and slow, only withdrawing an inch or so before pushing back in to get to where he wanted to be. For the rest of his life, if it was at all possible. He kept that pace until Donna began meeting his thrusts, using her legs around him to pull her hips up to meet his. He kissed her deeply as he quickened the pace, breaking off and watching her yell his name as she came again. He knew at that moment that he'd never get tired of watching her orgasm. He hoped he'd be able to test that theory for the rest of his life. He quickened further, unwrapping her legs from his waist and pushing one of her knees up so he could reach impossibly deeper inside her. He came, yelling her name as she had done his. He rested above her, panting into her ear as she stroked her hands up and down his back, calming him. A few moments later, he slipped out of her body and rolled them sideways, wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her close so he could kiss her again. They spent some time comforting each other as they recovered fully, and then continued to kiss as they both stalled the inevitable. "Josh?" He sighed. He knew she'd start; had been waiting for her to do so. "Yeah?" "Why'd you run out like that? And this time, don't lie." Her voice was a whisper but he had no problems hearing her words, or her uncertain tone. He had no intention of lying again. She was his world and she had a right to know that. His arms tightened around her waist as his voice matched hers, making the conversation all that more intimate. "Because I suddenly remembered all the things that had stopped me from kissing you before. I..." "Freaked?" "Yes, and you don't have to be so happy about that." She smiled and he vowed that he would try to make that Donna's default expression. "Oh, but I do, Joshua, because you only freak about things that matter to you." "And of all the things that matter to me, you're top of the list." Her smile became watery and Josh moved a hand to cup her face. "Don't cry. You've always been top of that list. I just... it's just never been a good idea." "What makes it any better now?" Her eyes held his, challenging him to swipe what had happened between them under the Oval Office rug. He wouldn't do it. He would not, could not, go back to the way things were before. "Nothing. Not really. But I'm not prepared to wait any longer." Lately, he'd spent so much time wondering what a future with Donna would be like, he had begun to resent returning to the present. "I... " He dropped his head. Suddenly, he was smiling to himself; smiling at what he was about to say. He raised his head to make sure that Donna could see the truth on his face and in his eyes. "I love you, Donna. Watching CJ report the pipe bombing last night was just another reminder that life is too short, and this time it finally got to me. Suddenly, the motorcade leaving us behind became my life passing me by and I got into this whole symbolism thing..." He made a dismissive gesture with his hand as he trailed off. Donna decided she was in shock. Sleeping together was one thing but she never expected Josh to just out and tell her he loved her, especially not after only their first time together. She didn't doubt his feelings - they were written all over his face - but hearing Josh say it so soon, and almost casually, made her wonder if he had been taken over by the pod people. His rambling, however, made her realise that they were still them, so when he paused to fling his hand about, Donna took the opportunity to add a little more normalcy. And to, y'know, find out what the hell he was on about. "What *are* you on about?" "I don't know," he replied quickly, before refocusing. "But it led me back to us. And there is an 'us', Donna." "I'll say." He grinned at her response, glad that the talking wasn't as bad as he always thought it would be. She leaned forward to kiss the grin off his face and succeeded in arousing him again. She always did like to overachieve, but she knew they had to wait. "You should leave." He froze. "I... I thought... I... " She tried, but she just couldn't hold out. She laughed a little and stroked his cheek to reassure him. "Josh, it's almost 9am. You have to go home, shower, change and then get to the office." He groaned. She knew that meant he would bring the whining any minute now. "I don't want to go." And there was the whine. "I don't want you to go, either." "Really?" His face lit up like a kid in a candy store. Great. Now she was using clichés. "Really. But you have to, Josh." He nodded but instead of leaving, he leaned in to kiss her again. She rolled onto her back, rolling him on top of her. Then she rolled onto her other side. "Donna!" There was no room on the other side for Josh and he'd rolled right off of her and onto the floor. "Get dressed." "You're really very bossy, you know that, right?" "And you love it." He did. She stayed in bed, watching him retrieve his clothes and put them back on. She pouted a little when he was finally dressed and had sat on the side of the bed to say goodbye. "You're all dressed." "Your fault." "But you were all undressed." "Also your fault." "So you're not taking the blame for any of this?" she asked as she leaned in to kiss his neck. His eyes slid closed involuntarily. "Nu huh." "But this is a good thing, right?" "Oh yeah." "Some would say the best thing that ever happened to you." She'd moved up so she could tease his earlobe. "Yeah." She pulled back triumphantly and he suddenly realised what he'd said. "You manipulated me!" She fell back on the bed, laughing hard. "I'm so proud." She lifted her head again and saw the soft look in his eyes. "You should go." Or they'd never get to work on time. He suddenly realised something. He'd told her that he loved her, but she hadn't said it back. Hadn't even really implied it except for the physical activities they'd shared during the last 24 hours. And the way he caught her looking at him every now and then. And the way she always made sure he was okay, and looking after himself. And the way she looked after him, physically and mentally, after Rosslyn. Okay, maybe she didn't need to say it. But he'd feel a lot better if she did. "What time are you going to be in?" "Around eleven?" "Ahkay." He pushed a strand of hair out of her face and leaned down to kiss her cheek. "See you later." He got up and was almost to the door when she called his name. "Joshua?" He turned to find her propped up on her elbow, a serious expression on her face. "I love you too. I always have." He closed his eyes and sighed deeply. Those two small sentences made his whole world right. He couldn't help it. He jogged back to the bed so he could kiss her again, this time with all the love and passion he had for her. "See you later, Donnatella," he breathed. "Later, Joshua." They never really said 'later' to each other in parting before, but
now they knew that 'later' meant a time when they'd be together again,
either at work or outside. And as long as they had a 'later' they could
live with the present. Feedback: tk@ahkay.net
