Drabble: Never Again
Written for the SDR SG4 Drabble Zine
Warnings: Won't really make sense if you haven't seen 2001.
She knew he was behind her.
"I should have waited."
"Any longer and we'd all be dead now."
"Instead of just him, right?"
"We don't know that." She nodded, wondering whether living, stranded off-world, was better than dying.
"You didn't have a choice, Sam." Her tears fell silently as his arms wrapped around her waist, just like they always used to.
"I'm sorry." For everything.
"I know. Me too." She turned in his arms and he pulled her tighter against him. "I love you, Sam."
He was her comfort, her strength, her love.
She would never let him go again.
