Memories versus Reality
Written for the SDR SG4 Drabble Zine
How could I do that? Risk Sam's life just because she, it, mentioned Sha'uri?
Maybe because it's the same choice I've been making since we met.
I always thought I would only marry once - a marriage for life - but when I first met Sam she was already asking questions, and it wasn't long before I was questioning myself.
The moment I realised my feelings for her, I buried them, choosing the memories of Sha'uri over the reality of Sam.
I can't do that anymore.
Sha'uri is missing, but Sam is here now.
And I'll be there for her.
