Author's Notes: Why? Beth's challenge which I lost! It's actually down to Mel and Steph's word challenges. It's all down to work evasion really!

"Hey Sam, look at this!"
Daniel and Sam were sitting around the fire. Teal'c was meditating just outside the entrance to his tent and Jack was inside his tent doing... something or other. Daniel hadn't been paying attention, he was too busy making....
"Daniel!"
"Awww, come on, don't you miss him just a bit? He did remind you of your Uncle!"
"Yeah, I guess he did." Sam couldn't help but smile at the cartoon drawing of Urgo. It was a lot like him actually. "Daniel, I didn't know you could draw!" Daniel blushed slightly and lowered his head.
"I can't, really." Sam just raised her brow. "I sketch these characters every now and then. They don't usually end up looking like anyone though. Hey, look!" Daniel added a speech bubble with the words 'Come on, it'll be fun. This is so boring!' Then he thought for a moment before drawing an outline of a very unhappy Jack next to Urgo, with another speech bubble: 'Row, row, row your boat....' Sam shifted closer to Daniel to see what he was doing, and only just managed to stifle a loud laugh. She nudged Daniel's shoulder and he looked up with a smile before they both started giggling quietly. Jack emerged from the tent and immediately locked onto the shaking backs of his 2IC and his best friend. Then his eyes widened as he heard Carter speak, still fighting for control.
"Daniel, put it away before the Colonel sees it."
"Before the Colonel sees what?" Jack's voice made the two friends freeze. Daniel tried to inconspicuously hide the drawing but Jack swept forward and snatched it.
"Hey!"
"Now now, Dannyboy. If it was so funny then why can't I look?" Daniel and Sam shared a look of dread before both turning their gazes to the base of the fire infront of them, looking like two naughty school children.
Jack opened up the drawing and stared at it. Daniel looked up and was surprised to discover that Jack's eyes could get wider. The sight made Daniel laugh again, which in turn started Sam off. Within seconds they were in hysterics again, Sam resting her head on Daniel's shoulder, and Daniel resting his hand on the back of it. He gently rested his forehead on the top of her head.
Jack stared at the two scientists, his eyes bulging until he couldn't take it anymore.
"Well I'm glad you think this is funny." Jack's voice was frighteningly pleasant. Daniel and Sam quietened a little and Daniel straightened up a bit, removing his hand from Sam's head. They both turned their eyes towards the Jack and were slightly worried at the small smile on his face. "You know, you two should just get a room, or maybe a tent." Jack just moved around the fire as if he was having a normal conversation with them. He didn't miss the reaction to his words though.
Daniel and Sam immediately straightened up and moved away from each other slightly. They're faces were now deadly serious and not a little embarrassed. Jack thought they now looked like teenagers caught making out behind a bike shed. He was sadistically pleased with himself.
"Well, I'm off to bed. Carter, you've got first watch. Night campers!" Jack headed for his tent, picture still in his hand. Teal'c rose from his meditation, gaining the attention of the two 'teenagers', nodded his head and retired to his tent as well. Sam and Daniel were left staring at the fire.
"Well, I guess..." Daniel started, but trailed off as he turned to look at Sam. He saw realisation in her eyes and knew that it was mirrored in his. After a moment of just staring, they slowly leant towards each other until their lips met in a gentle kiss.
Jack looked towards the entrance to his tent and saw the silhouettes of his team mates in front of the fire. He smiled and muttered, "it's about time." He opened the picture up again and had to use his sleeping bag to stifle his laughter.
